confused

So I have PCOS and I've been on the pill for 2 years now. Got my period every month since, Couple months ago I wasn't the greatest with taking my pills (3 missed pills sporadically) and my period never came. So went to the gyno and she gave me pills to get my period, got my period. And missed Sunday to start my pill again. So now my doctor told me to I have to wait for the next cycle but now I'm late once again, I spotted for one day in the beginning of last month (barely, not even a full shade of pink and only happened once in the day) :( All pregnancy test came out negative. Any ideas???
