Is it too much to ask your s/o to give you a paragraph of how much they love you?

Bf refuses to give me a detailed paragraph of how much he loves me n why. But he'd rather argue than do it... i asked him 3 days ago n he still refuses. ..

People show their love in different ways, and it sounds like his just isn't through words, and that's fine. Don't force him if he doesn't want to, chances are he just doesn't feel confident doing that. Instead, communicate with him and learn the different ways he does show his love, and learn to appreciate those thins. You can always ask for him to be more verbally affectionate, yes, but asking doesn't mean you should always expect the answer you want.

I sometimes ask for a sweet text when I'm feeling down.. my anxiety has been through the roof lately. I don't force him to send me a paragraph. "Tell me something good.." and he always delivers with no problem

I think it's a personal thing, I'm horrible at expressing my love/feelings towards others, instead of asking him for a paragraph, just ask him to show you he loves you. It's easier.

My opinion is that you shouldn't ask him to do it. How would that be spontaneous or romantic in any way? Let him tell you on his own time. That's like asking him to buy you flowers. It's not right. 
Also his love language might jyst be different than yours. He might not express love through words. He might be the type that expresses through giving gifts, or doing things for you, or spending quality time, or other things. Don't force it. Don't argue because he won't write you a long paragraph. That is your thing, not his. As long as he says he loves you, that should be enough. He shouldn't have to tell you every reason why, and if he decides to, let it be a nice surprise.

My husband isn't even gonna give me a anniversary present. Our anniversary is on the 15th of October. He says they're childish. I mad him a scrapbook and he found it(I suck at hiding presents) and he scoffed at me and hasn't touched it since then. He said it was stupid. Some men just aren't affectionate.
