Once I did it with someone I very much like/love, it didn't hurt so that was a great thing but I didn't make me climax either. 
Could be nerves and a lot of other things but I felt very ehh or just down right disappointed.

It gets better than this right??

Yes it sure does. Be patient though, don't expect it to happen every time especially if you both are new at having sex and exploring each other's bodies. My first time didn't hurt either and it still felt pretty good. But trust me it gets waaaaaayyyyyyy better. Especially the more comfortable you two become with each other then you can start trying new positions and stuff in the bedroom
