meds during labor?
Of course there's the natural route, and if that's a possibility for me when the time comes- hallelujah!
I'm just curious to know what medicine options there are other than the good ole back stab?
I am terrified of labor. Most days I keep myself up at night because I think it's so scary (I have anxiety problems and not being on my meds are definitely affecting me). It's like as soon as you get pregnant, people have to tell you the worst possible things that could ever happen. Excuse me, pregnancy is terrifying enough without your horror stories! 🙄 I even passed out at a hospital tour because I was overwhelmed with my anxiety.
Anyway, I will ask my doctor as we start discussing actual labor, I just want to know so he doesn't try to tell me that the epidural is the only option (idk that he will do that- he's been a great doctor so far and really isn't pro-meds anyway, but I'd still like to know).
I would google this but the last time I did the first thing that came up was a picture of a woman receiving an epidural and I went into a panic attack... so please don't give me any unnecessary scares.
Thanks mamas!
