Concerned

My current husband that I love dearly and I have been ttc for over a year. We talked about having a kid together. But, he recently told me again He doesn't believe in birth control, and he doesn't want me to get fixed, after we have a baby I already have two kids, and he has a son. He said God will determine how many kids he'll be blessed with. I said we didn't discuss that! Anyone, been in this situation.? I'm 40 years old yes I want a baby with him . I know from my history it probably want happen me having multiple kids with him. Just I'd like to have the option to not have more .
