How did labor start for you or how did you know when labor was starting?

With my first I woke up with bad period like cramps and just went about my day but it got so bad by the end of the night I had to go to the hospital. With my second I woke up in the middle of the night with the bad cramps and noticed my mucus plug in my undies when I went to the bathroom. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't sleep very well. I went all day the next day with the contractions getting stronger and finally went to the hospital when I could barely stand up straight at like 6 that night

It's been almost 3 years & I was asleep with my labor starting. Timed my contractions. And had an appt that mid day - then they admitted me. I'm 4 days past due, and idk what to expect either lol. Feels like my first!
