Due to complications in my first vaginal birth, my doctors and I decided I would have a c section this time. I was really nervous. My second son was born Friday by c section, and it was a fantastic experience. They both were very hard births and both have their drawbacks but I will definitely feel more confident going into a c section if we elect to have a third child. I can't believe how fast it was. We got to the hospital at 5:30am, and the baby was out by 8:42am! They had some issues with my spinal block, so he could have been out 45 minutes sooner! After a 24 hour labor, this blows my mind.

I'm still in pain five days later, but this positive birth experience has made recovery so much easier. Good luck, mamas. It isn't scary as you'd predict!
