Thoughts on the Pink Tax?

What are your thoughts about the pink tax? Do you think it's right that women have to pay a luxury tax on tampons and other feminine products?

I think it's unfair to tax menstrual products if condoms are tax exempt...but of course men pay less for most goods and services and woman pay more.

Luxury is defined as "the state of great comfort and extravagant living." Ummmm anyone out there greatly comfy whilst on their period? Are you in a moment of extracagant living? Lol none of us asked for this. It's nature. Aaaand since it is not socially acceptable to "free bleed"...the LEAST they could do is give a girl a tax break on a pad or tampon. Seriously.

Canada got rid of it as of July 1st of last year. Not gonna lie, it was getting expensive given how heavy I bleed.

Then I switched over to cloth pads and all is good.

No women shouldn't have to pay more for a "luxury" that is a necessity.

Tampons are a luxury. There are other products you can use for your period. Do you like having variety? Then pay the damn tax.

Ahhh... Do women choose to have their period???? Do man have it/something like it??? Are women enjoying that time spent in pain over   That time??? It's not all rainbows and lollipops!!! But shoutout to the fathers/brothers/husbands/boyfriends/friends/other males in all the stories I have heard about a girl on her period and them coming over/home with chocolate, dinner, movies and supplies I mean even me as a female have trouble when I am at the store to buy/I have to buy supplies so imagine men going in there for that - now I'm not saying that they should have a song and dance about them or anything like that but shoutout to all you men man/mature/brave enough to go into a store and buy supplies for a women!!!

Here in Canada we stopped paying taxes on that stuff this summer and I find it ridiculous that the U.S. isn't doing the same.

I think it is unfair to tax us for something we have absolutely no control over. The fact that we have to pay "luxury" tax for tampons and pads is ridiculous.
