Warning to all scary clowns, thanks to local PD
"A message to the scary clowns out there, from the crew down at MPD.

After having responded to a half dozen calls or so in the last hour of clowns running around scaring people, we want to be clear about your choice to engage in such conduct. After all, we have much better things to do than to chase you around.

Being disorderly, trespassing on other's property, and making threats towards others is actually illegal, and you can be arrested. In fact, take a guess on how lenient we will be when we catch you? Yea, we aren't laughing.

And that is just what happens if WE are the ones to catch you. There are a lot of people out there that are not quite as restrained as us, and may not realize that your act is all a joke. As annoying as you scary clowns are, we don't want to see you guys get hurt. After all, we know you are just kids, or in some cases adults acting like kids.

So please heed our warning and stop the shenanigans. Parents out there, please have a talk with your teenagers about engaging in this business. So far, the people being targeted by this have been mostly teenage girls. According to our FBI criminal profiler, the suspects are probably teenage boys.

I think in the third to last paragraph, they're trying to politely (and PC) say that our area has a lot of hunters and you're gonna get your teenage hooligan asses shot if you are running around as clowns. 👏🏼👍🏼
