My son is 1 week 6 days old and absolutely refuses to lay on his back.  He can break a traditional swaddle and even in the swaddleme wrap he still isn't having it.  I've tried a bouncer and a rock n play.  He'll stay in the rock n play for about an hour but since I have a broken leg I can't get him to and from the rock n play without assistance.  That's another problem as I'm a single mom with only a 15 yr old friends daughter coming to help out with household chores.  He has the ability to hold himself up on his tummy and move his head from side to side and can even get the momentum to roll from his back to his tummy when he is really pissed off.  The only way to get him to sleep is on his tummy on my chest or on his tummy in his cosleeper cot.  He'll sleep a good 3-4 hrs on his tummy.  Is it safe to let him sleep on his tummy at night ??? Or does anyone have any suggestions???
