How to tell if a guy is into you?

So I'm recently In School to become a LVN and abt a week almost 2 wks ago a new guy student enrolled in my class. He is so handsome and I feel like he is into me as mch as I am in to him bt of course it's hard to knw for sure unless he sends you signs. Signs that I could be misinterpreting. I'm nt the only one trying to get his attention in fact I feel like I have to compete with the rest of the girls in the class. I did notice since day one he was staring at me bt i didn't make mch of it since he was new and probably being friendly..Now as days go by i have noticed him looking back to my seat and we have made eye contact several times and every time he smiles back..he never rushes out until I'm leaving the class bt bc i have a large group of ppl I hangout with neither of us have tried to engage in conversation so I want to know some sings that could lead me to believe he is into me or not..what could be some signs he is into me?
