Went to work Monday after having a weekend full of contractions, cramping and back pain then headed to my scheduled dr appt that afternoon. I had been having weekly ultrasounds due to baby being low and already dilated. The u/s tech said my fluid levels had dropped and would see what dr had to say. Saw my dr, he checked me I was still 2-3 cm and 70% effaced but with my fluid being low he wanted her out. So told me to head to hospital at 6:30. The plan was to start cervadil at 7 and pitocin in morning. The nurse was a little concerned after checking me that I would go fast with this being my 4th child and my cervix do thin so held off til 10 to put in. It was in literally a 1/2 goo before contractions hit, she took it out and my water broke on it's own. Got my epidural and was relaxing, baby went off monitor so the nurse came in to put her on an internal monitor upon checking me the nurse said she was almost out. 15 minutes later when dr arrived baby Kara made her arrival.
