should I bring my own breast pump to the hospital?

I have a medela and wondering if I should bring my own to the hospital or just use whatever is at the hospital (hoping baby can takentight from the Breast there but just wondering if I should have it just in case. I'm assuming I have to throw everything in the dishwasher or at least wash it out if I am using my own. Just trying to prepare my bag!

I'm bringing mine in hopes they can show me how to correctly use it. I hope I won't need it there and if you did they would have one for you to use but it will be nice to know exactly how to work your own. Good luck!!!!

Check with hospital! I was given my pump there when I was getting released but they have ones that they let you use there as well during your stay, and mines gave me new parts not used ones while using their pump

Hospitals normally have all that but check first. Just call Labor and delivery

I met with a lactation consultant today and she said it's a good idea to get fitted while you're there... she said that sometimes the flanges that come with the pumps don't work for everyone/don't fit every breast and they can help you with that while you're in the hospital. But she said it's not a super big deal if you don't... that's something they can always help with later on if you go see an LC. My hospital offers a lactation room free of charge for new moms if you have any struggles once you're home with your baby so I plan to make an appointment there if I have any issues 😊
