Went in for my routine appointment. I'm 35 weeks so they did the GBS culture and an ultrasound to be sure baby is head down. She is, but then I was sent for an NST because of concerns of her being tachycardic. Her heart rate was 181. I had been feeling fine, just dealing with normal contractions like I have been for weeks now. Didn't think anything of it. Anyway, two and a half hours later they unhook me from NST. Her heart rate came down and the midwife said there is really no explanation for what happened. I am not dehydrated, not in labor, no infection. She did end up checking me though because of the frequent contractions (maybe a level 2 pain on a scale of 1-10), turns out I'm not dilated but I'm 50% effaced and head is at -2. Now I'm wondering when she'll be here! Next week I'm driving across country to Texas (husband got military orders) so I need her to stay in at least until I pull into town 😂 Hold on til 37 weeks baby Naomi! 🙈
