Backstory. I have been dating my boyfriend for approximately a year. I've never had a problem with having sex with him on my period before. I am on a pill that allows me to have my period every three months. Two months ago I contracted a UTI, and we discussed that I probably got it from the sex.

So, jump back to now. I am on my period this week and my boyfriend refuses to have sex with me because he claims he'll get a UTI. I am confused because I was not on my period when I got the UTI. Does my boyfriend have grounds to believe he'll have a higher risk of contracting a UTI during period sex?
