hormone free birth control methods?

I've tried several different birth control methods: the Skyla IUD, depo shot, and a few different brands of birth control pills; all of which gave me annoy side effects (sporadic bleeding, weight gain, hair loss, etc). Are there any long term hormone free birth control methods out there? I've just been using condoms in the meantime, but I like to use other things in conjunction with them to feel extra protected.
