Oral on the ParaGuard?

If I had know. There was an IUD group I would have posted this here first! 
-----So I had my ParaGuard IUD inserted Friday afternoon, and my boyfriend surprised me with a visit! (He's four hours away at college usually, so I'm pretty pumped.)

My doctor said not to put ANYTHING in my vagina for the next three weeks, but He /really/ wants to go down on me. We got hot and heavy making out last night, but he's afraid he'll hurt me if he goes down and keeps his tongue out of there.

I think it's fine - the whole being-turned-on-bit actually really helps with the cramps post-insertion too. I'm leaning twords it's okay for him to do, but I thought I'd run it past you girls first. Thoughts?

It should be fine as long as he isn't actually penetrating you. But if you want to be 100% certain that it's cool then you should call your doctor just to verify. Better safe than sorry in my opinion.😊

My doctor told me I was immediately protected. I went home and had sex the same day! I don't know what your doctor is talking about

Three weeks?! Wow. My doctor made no prohibition - just said to use condoms the first month.

I have the paraguard and my doctor said not to have sex for a couple days. 
I'm pretty sure I broke that rule and have had it for 2 years and everything is perfectly fine.

My doctor said no tampons for the next day or two, and my boyfriend and I had sex hmmm idk maybe a week later, maybe less?

My doctor told me to wait a week just so it has time to transition but I cramped so much the first week that I didn't even want him touching me😅
