When should I take a pregnancy test?

My husband and I recently got married about a month ago. We didn't waste any time in trying to conceive, so with that being said, we tried a couple of days ago. My question is when should I take a pregnancy test? I'm too anxious to wait if I get a period, and I want to know ASAP! Any responses are helpful! Thanks in advance!

You can try 10 days after sex. If you're lucky you'll get a positive if you're pregnant. It depends on how long it takes for the egg to implant into your uterus after being fertalized. Implantation can take up to 7-12 days. You don't start producing the pregnancy hormones the tests look for until after implantation. The best and most accurate time to tests is after a missed period. Because you could be pregnant 10 days later and get a negative and it'll just be disappointing. You're probably not going to get pregnant right off the bat either. It can take a healthy couple a year to concieve, all of it is just a big waiting process and crossing your fingers.
