BC advice
I'm almost 18 and will be heading to college in less than a year, and I feel like I should have a plan for birth control. I've tried talking to my mom about it once (who I can usually openly discuss these kinds of things with) and she sort of froze up and was shocked that I would ask about birth control, so we never came up with a plan of action and haven't discussed it since. I don't think I want to go on the pill because there's a family history of cancer on my mom's side of the family, and I know that the pill doesn't work the same for everyone and can contribute to a cancer diagnosis. What would be the best alternative for me/how do I re-discuss it with my mom?
Thanks!!
