Hematoma Birth Injury?!!

My baby girl was born 10/2 she is perfectly healthy absolutely beautiful however she has a hematoma on the side of her head the doctors said it should go away on its own that it's just a blood clot under the skin not affecting the brain I'm a little concerned about it of course I did some research and found that most times a hematoma is the result of using vaccum or forceps which neither was used during my delivery the doctor said it was from her rubbing up against my cervix. I pushed for an hour before she finally came out. Has anyone else's baby had this if so does it go away completely or does anyone know anything about this?? BTW it's not painful to her

My preemie had a huge one on the top of her head back in '09. She had no hair so it was extremely noticeable. It never bothered her. Just be prepared to hear what is that a billion times and having to explain it. I'm not sure why or how she got it, she was an emergency csection at 30 weeks.

Long story short, the hematoma completely disappeared. Not a sign of it anywhere. Pretty amazing thing actually, like it absorbed itself. You would never know she had a hematoma. I will say it took over a year to disappear.. But by the time she was 2 it had gone away. I wouldn't worry about it.

I had one when I was born and it go bigger as I got older .. it went away at about nine months .. it was on the left side of my face and you can't even tell I had one now

My son was born at 4 lbs full term and I pushed for only 33 sec yea that's right my dr said since I pushed so hard so fast I caused it with all the pressure

My daughter had one from the vacuum. It took about 9 months to go away.
