Birth Control + Detox Teas???

Question

So.... What do yal think about drinking detox tea on birth control? I'm a fitness/health freak, and I have been nervous about drinking my teas.. I have the Nexplanon. I know with birth control pills depending on the time you take your pill and the time the detox tea does its job (💩) it can alter the effectiveness.. But what about the implant? It's not like it can detox the actual implant out. Lol let me know what yal think please!

Detox teas are fine so long as they don't have a laxative effect, or contain st johns wort and other herbs that could decrease the efficacy of your pill.

Check with your doctor and research the ingredients in the teas.

But above all else, refer to your pamphlet.

I heard a lot of detox teas, like the ones they advertise on instagram, contain senna which is a laxative. Check the ingredients and show your doctor if you're concerned.
