Age for marriage

My boyfriend told me he wants to propose to me sometime around my 18th birthday (he wants it to be a surprise) and he wants to get married right away. We've been together for almost 3 years but I'm afraid every one is just gonna judge us and tell us we're too young. He's the one I want to marry. I really am ready to marry him, but I'm afraid others won't approve
