Itchy tattoo 😭. Why is it so itchy?

that's normal just try not to itch it or you'll just end up messing up you tattoo. happen to me so I learn my lesson,haha.

After I get tattoos they itch like crazy so I use unscented lotion or a&D ointment. Mynewest tattoo was healed the same day and I had barely any itching ( it's all black) heals faster imo.

I know it sounds weird but if you slap it, it takes away the itching sensation. Scratching can mess up the tattoo.

Ask your artist what to put on it. Mine gave me instructions as to exactly how to care for it

i have 2 tattoos and they're supposed to be really itching. it's trying to heal. put some aquaphor on it

I found that when mine were itchy, it usually meant it was dry. I'd suggest putting a little bit of unscented lotion on it. I usually use the lubriderm brand

I don't think you understand what happens when you get a tattoo...
You're getting pricked by a needle at an extremely fast rate and it's putting ink into your body. So not only are you getting tiny little punctures, but a foreign substance is going into your body. Your body is trying to heal the area of skin where you got your tattoo and just like any wound, it's going to itch while healing.
DO NOT scratch it, you can cause the ink to lift and ruin the design.
