membrane sweep?

This is my third baby and with my first two I was induced at the end of both due to swelling and high blood pressure. With my son I wasn't induced until 40 weeks and then with my daughter I was induced at 39 weeks 5 days so with this baby I have a scheduled induction at 39 weeks 2 days because my swelling and blood pressure is acting up already but my doctor offered to sweep my membranes at my next appointment to see if I might go on my own instead of being medically induced. I'm okay with this decision because I fully trust my doctor and at my last appointment I was 2cm almost 3 and 50% so she said that I could go at any day but we will take it one day at a time. So.. my question to people who have had a membrane sweep.. what did it feel like? Would you recommend it someone to see if it could help start labor or would you tell them to just wait for their induction date? Thank you in advance for your opinions and comments!
