Almost gave up...
So I have been EBF and yesterday began to fall short on breastmilk for daycare. I was only about 2-3 ounces short, but I still left work early to pick up my baby boy and feed him. I cried when I realized it was probably time to start supplementing. It's just so hard to keep up with pumping enough for daycare when I am a bar manager and it's difficult to always be able to get away to pump for a half hour when we are busy. Well I cried yesterday when I had to mix 2 ounces of formula with 3 ounces of breastmilk in his bedtime bottle. Well today I told our daycare provider to supplement with the formula. She told me to not give up. So I have started eating my oatmeal (with brewer's yeast) in the mornings, drinking 3 liters of water, and this evening I bought fenugreek to try. Well I can say that i just did my last pump session for the night and have enough milk for daycare tomorrow without having to supplement and I didn't supplement his bedtime bottle tonight either. I hope that this isn't just a fluke and that I can start keeping back up and getting that milk flowing again! Thanks to all of the positive posts and ideas, ladies! Couldn't have done it without all y'all!
