I still get initial pain when she latches on at 8 days PP. Breastfeeding itself is easy now, it's the around the clock demand that's hard. I can't wait until my baby sleeps through the night lol

I honestly think this depends on the person, many women love breastfeeding and so after the first few weeks it's begins to get easier for them but as for me I do not love it, my son has never latched well so I have been exclusively pumping since he was about 3 weeks old and he's 5 months now. For me it has gotten easier as far as pain but I get stressed daily with having to stop what I'm doing every 3-4 hours to pump.

After the first week it didn't hurt as bad and after the 2nd week it didn't hurt at all

It should be easy after the first week or so. If it's painful the latch isn't good. Talk to a lactation consultant (usually free) and there are lots of good videos online to help. My lo had a bad latch the first few days and I had to figure it out quick or I knew I was going to give up. Just keep trying and use nipple butter!

Your boobs will still prob get sore after the first month but it gets much easier. The first couple weeks are the hardest but once you get more on a schedule it's a lot better and you are just use to the feeling by then
