does anyone know how Plan B could effect a baby?

I took Plan B the morning after I had sex because I was on antibiotics so I wanted to be safe... turns out 6 weeks later I found out I was pregnant. I'm keeping the baby but I'm really worried that the plan B could have caused harm to him or her :( I told my doctor I took it but my first appointment isn't for another week to discuss everything.

Any advice? I've researched it a little bit but I feel like it's making my anxiety worse about it.

Edit: I'm 10 weeks this week according to the free clinic I went to for a date scan and to make sure the pregnancy was viable. Baby had a heart beat (162 ❤️)

You have nothing to worry about, I know 3 "plan b" babies and all are totally fine and no complications with the pregnancy. Congrats momma!

If you still got pregnant  i doubt it did anything. Its not  an "abortion " pill

This is probably a tough one for people here to address since usually plan b works and they probably don't know people who took it and still had a baby (who would tell people that lol)! However, I happen to know that my nephew survived plan B. He's totally fine. Well, he really likes to wear jewelry which my brother doesn't care for. He's two and wonderful.

It doesn't cause any harm. My niece is living proof of plan b one step fail lol. Perfectly healthy beautiful 9 year old!

Plan b is like a strong dose of birth control pills. It will not work on an already established pregnancy. People get pregnant on the birth control pill and have healthy pregnancys so I wouldn't think it would affect the baby.

If it failed and that resulted in you getting pregnant despite taking it, it's fine. But if you were already pregnant when you took it, that might be harmful. But it sounds like from the timing that you didn't already have an existing pregnancy when you took it, you took it and it just didn't work and you got pregnant anyway, if baby looks good then I wouldn't worry about it.

It can cause some birth defects or possibly miscarriage. The hormones in the plan b are pretty strong.
