Frustrated to the point of no return!

So my bf and I have been dating for three years(December 9th) he doesn't get along with my family do to a long story...and he has a good paying job but he has racked up so many surcharges that he cannot even take me anywhere or want to for the matter of fact. I am a woman and I would like to be taken places and do special things when I talk to him about it he always has an excuse, but he always has time to go places with other people when it comes to his car and repairng it!!!! It drives me crazy that I have to fight with him before we can go somewhere and I am always the one spending money...should I let him go or just deal with it? He always expects things from me but never returns them and I'm just fed up. HELP!
