Gonal F/Femara question
I'm CD10 today. I completed 5 days of Femara CD 3-7 and Gonal F 225u on CD 6 and 8. At my scan this morning, I had 12 follicles growing, but only one mature at a 16. Next biggest was 14. Everything else 11 or smaller. They instructed me to do 2 more days of 225u of Gonal F today and tomorrow, back for monitoring Friday morning. The hypothetical plan is to trigger Friday and do IUI on Sunday. I'm very very worried I'll be hyper stimulated...2 doses of Gonal f got me 12 follicles, is there really a chance that 2 more of the same dose won't push me over the edge? Has anyone else had a similar situation and not ended up hyperstimualted?
I have major trust issues with my Dr...they're the only ones around and they really push IVF and other expensive procedures. They've of course offered that they can take out the extra follicles if I end up hypestimulated...likely at the cost of a couple grand. I feel like they're trying to hyperstimulate me to try and get me to feel like IVF is my only option.
Any words of wisdom?
