At home doppler. Good idea, or no?

Question

I'm currently 9w5d, got a home doppler. I've read mixed opinions online about using at home. My mother in law is a nurse nurse practitioner, so all home doppler sessions will be supervised by her. 
What are your thoughts?
Have you used one with a successful outcome?
We are just too excited to hear little baby(s) heart beat!

I had a missed miscarriage with my first pregnancy and bought one when I got pregnant the second time. I had so much anxiety about losing the baby that it really helped calm my nerves. I still had anxiety with my 3rd pregnancy and used one quite often until I could feel baby move and now with this being my 4th pregnancy I still worry but not as much. I do still use my doppler. Mainly because I love hearing my baby but it does ease my mind so much. For some it creates more anxiety but it's done nothing but helped me through my pregnancies after a loss. Also my dr. Said it's fine. His concern with home dopplers is that it can cause more anxiety and do more damage than good. But for me it does the opposite.
