If you've had an epidural before, would you recommend one?

I'm on my 3rd pregnancy & I had one with my first but not with my 2nd.
It's amazing how good it is and u have to be told when to push cause u don't know when your getting a contraction but the only bad thing is it can slow labour down so I was in labour 24hrs but I was clapping half way through it shouting;

With my 2nd I wanted to die I was in that much pain. He came out in half the time though.
This is my 3rd & tbh I think I'm going to go without and feel the pain! I know i sound crazy saying this but the pain makes it feel more feel & how labour should feel where as an epidural made me feel like I wasn't strong enough but each to there own x

Hell yes!!!! To each their own, and i give props to those who dont get one... But, I am ALL for it! Ive had two babies and pregnant with twins and i recommend

I had it two times, this is my third pregnancy, and I'm not getting one this time around. I just got unlucky and they didnt work/wasnt done properly. They just caused a lifetime of back problems. Everyones experience will be different. I think most people just get one because they are scared, not so much the pain. If you stay calm and focus on breathing, youll be okay!

Depends on your tolerance for pain. I wouldn't get 1 if I didn't have to have a c-section.

10 years ago when I had my kiddo, I had no choice but to get one... after being 2 weeks late, having two full days of active labor, being forced to dilate ("water balloon" style), and having my water broken, I STILL wasn't able to dilate on my own... even after giving me an epidural they were still ready to do an emergency c-section if he wouldn't come out on his own, but thanks to the epidural I was able to barely make it to almost fully dilated before he came out. I was so exhausted by the time he arrived I was ready to let myself bleed out rather than pass the placenta... I don't want to have that happen again with my BG, so my boyfriend and I have both agreed for me to get the epidural as soon as I'm allowed to.
