Surprise visit to my boyfriend?

So my boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship. I'm going to college in a different state. He just told me he has a concert on the 21 and I was planning on coming back the weekend of Halloween for a visit but I'm thinking of surprising him by going to his show and waiting in the hall afterwards. The problem is his parents also decided to go to this show and they don't know we're dating still and his reaction to seeing me for the first time in a very long time will give it away and I don't want him to be upset for me showing up. Should I go? I would still go back for Halloween because we have other plans for that weekend.
