What is everyone's thought on this product?

The one I have on my registry just goes around the car seat, there's nothing that covers the seat.

I bought one too and was so excited to use it. However I found it they're technically not allowed. If they're found on the car seat at the hospital they won't let you leave until you remove. It has to do with the fact that there is fabric between the car seat and the baby. Evidently it's not allowed. So people are saying to get the ones that just strap onto the top part of the car seat.

It's not allowed because they are unsafe. In an accident your baby isn't properly strapped in and can be hurt. You can only use the pieces your specific car seat comes with when talking about items placed under the baby. You can go with a top cover and he fine though. But nothing, not even thick coats for what gets strapped under the buckles.

I used for first two babies until deemed unsafe. Will be using in the stroller now and just got the jj Cole car seat cover that goes around car seat instead.

It's a better alternative to putting a baby in a snowsuit. Snowsuits cause distance between baby and safety belt, making them less secure.
