Cervix checking

I'm pretty new to ttc so I'm still trying to figure out how to check my cervix. I always have a hard ball shaped thing in the very back and I thought that was it but then I started feeling two soft/squishy things near the front (top and bottom) and thought that was maybe it. I've tried to google it but don't really understand the pictures or info it give. Any help is really appreciated!!
