Help itching on back of neck! LICE??

About a week ago I took a shower with a new shampoo and conditioner (sheamoisure) and afterwards the back of my neck has been itching every day. It doesn't itch all the time but at least 3 time a day it's really itchy. This has been going on for 6 days, I think the redness is because of how hard I've scratched back there. Can anyone help??? What is this?

EDIT: I think this could be lice?? I took an alcohol swab and rubbed around the area and then 2 min later my scalp stared itching like crazy. Made me think it could be lice?????

If it just started when you started a new shampoo, I'd think it's more likely that you're allergic to the new shampoo.

I would switch the shampoo, it's most likely an irritation from that. Lice don't normally live on the neck, it's more on the scalp and hair. (I work in an elementary school, lice is an everyday occurrence!)

If you're seriously concerned, you should get someone else to check your scalp.

Lice isn't red and they sit at the roots, not the nape of your neck. I would say allergic reaction or scalp yeast infection.
