Ever had or been to a baby shower at a restaurant?

Yes - the majority of showers in my area are held at restaurants or other venues. Mine was at a restaurant a few weeks ago and my bridal shower was at a catered venue as well. Neither were over the top - I've seen some baby showers that look and feel more like weddings - but restaurants do seem to be the "norm" in my area.

We just had ours last weekend at mellow mushroom. We rented out the first floor and it was great! The only downside was that the older people couldn't hear as well because of the noise level.

I have. It was nice. Either option is good. I had mine at my house. I have the biggest house out of my family so it made sense. Plus I didn't have to drag everything home. So that was good too.

Mine is at a restaurant next weekend. We are going to be in a smaller dining room off the main restaurant though so we will have the whole room. At my step sisters shower a few months ago (same restaurant) we had less people so we only had half the room but the put up a little divider thing in the middle to still serve regular customers on the other side and it really wasn't a problem at all.

Having mine at one next month. It'll be a private party during lunchtime before the restaurant opens at their usual time for dinner. I have been to other showers like this but never one that shared space with an open restaurant with other patrons at different tables/ sections.

Personally I like me the ones that are more private. I guess it depends how it is done/ where.

Yes, but they rented it out and we were the only "customers" there.
