this whole clown thing is ridiculous

I'm not sure if this is controversial but I'm wondering if anybody else is worried this Halloween with all this clown crap going on. I have a 7 week old and a 2.5 year old who I was hoping could help hand out candy. But I'm kind of freaked out and wondering if we should not participate in Halloween this year. We've spotted many clowns in our city these past few weeks. Am I being paranoid? I know we shouldn't let this stuff affect our lives but at the same time I want to keep my babies safe. What Would you do??
