Black History Month is mistreated in the U.K. (rant)

Summer
I live in The UK (Scotland) and October is our black history month, nobody ever takes it seriously or even acknowledges. No schools talk about britians evil ways during the slave trade and act like it's only America who did all the atrocious activities to People of Colour. I had to educate and read things about my culture myself. I just find it so frustrating and I wish black people and all people of colour were still as interested in their history as they should be in the UK. Scotland especially has the least amount of people of colour who are aware of our history and culture and I just feel so alone. England is a bit more woke and because of school I can't live there right now (Scottish universities are free so gonna take advantage of that). I'm hoping in the future, people will wake up and be more culturally rich in themselves.
