Man bun. What do should I do?

My husband works in corrections and I'll be starting corrections in a week. He has always had a military or to the side hair cut. Now all of a sudden he's been wanting to try the man bun! I find it unattractive. I will always support my husband in anything he wants to do but this is too much for law. He won't let me cut my hair because he loves long brown hair. So I kept my long hair. I joke around and tell him I would cut it in his sleep and he just laughs but to be honest I think I would!
