Mucus plug?

I'm 36 weeks today. Had my doctors appointment about 8 hours ago and the doctor checked my cervix. But the baby's head is so low she couldn't fully get to my cervix. It was really uncomfortable, so she said she didn't really have a need to chase me on the table to be 100% sure of my dilation. She said my cervix is soft and if she had to say, I am about 1-1/2 cm dilated. So just now, I went to the bathroom and am pretty sure I lost my mucus plug, or part of it. Or, could it be from my exam? This is my 3rd pregnancy and I just don't remember!
