Christmas Presents for newborns?

So our babies will be between a month to 2 months old. I'm due Thanksgiving so mine will only be about a month. My husband is talking about getting him Christmas presents. I think it's super pointless since he will be so young. What is everyone else's plan for Christmas? Are you getting your babies presents?

I'll be getting my baby an outfit to wear that day and maybe a stocking to put him in to take pictures but thats about it

My SO & I also see it as pointless to buy a newborn/infant gifts, but we are going to buy our baby boy a stocking and maybe some christmas onsies.
If our families decide to buy something for him that's on them.

My family and my husbands family will definately be buying baby something for christmas, because grandparents love Grandbabies lol

idk if me and my husband will get anything for her though since she will be so young and probably asleep for most of the holiday.

I wont be bothering with presents for baby as I already have a 2.5 year old to buy for and baby will be bombarded with presents from being born 😂

We aren't but if my son insists on picking a gift out for his baby brother I won't be against it.

We are getting our baby who will probably be about 6 weeks old a tummy time mat! His older brothers will open the gift for him. Obviously he is too young to care but he will still have a present under the tree! 😊

Totally pointless! We're gonna celebrate having a baby and do our normal traditions and religious observances. That's enough work for me. I want to get pix done and have a nice decorated house and tree. That's enough work.

I just had this convo with my mom yesterday. I'm only planning to buy something keepsake that is "baby's first Christmas" like an ornament or something like that. Other than that I'm not going to buy and wrap a gift that I open myself while she sleeps lol

Clothes, bathing items, rattles for car seat, babies first Christmas keepsake. They don't need much. Memories pictures video purposes little something. I'll get mine a stocking and an ornament my other two have one. I am going to let my older kids pick something small for baby too.

I always get for the new baby. My oldest was born on the 26th of November. I normally get soap or clothes for them though something practical. My son does not need a race car his first christmas.
