Does pushing hurt more or contractions?

I know this is probably a ridiculous question but I'm 33 weeks in 2 days & every week that goes by I get more petrified of labor. lol I am so excited to meet my baby, but this is my first baby & I just don't know what to expect... For some reason I'm more worried about the pain while pushing although I heard contractions are worse? So I figured I'd ask you guys. What do you think is worse ? When the baby is coming out do you feel your vagina stretching ? Or "the ring of fire" everyone talks about? Or does it just feel like a lot of pressure? I am getting an epidural so I don't know what pain I'll be able to feel with that....
