Who to tell that you're pregnant at the airport??

So I'm flying to Texas next month but I will be going by myself! So nervous, but who do I tell that I'm pregnant and can't go through the X-ray security??

If you're concerned about the scanner (I've read the tsa believes the scanners are safe, but there isn't a ton of research on it- every momma just needs to decide what they're comfortable with) you just need to let the person just before the scanner that you'd like to be checked instead due to your pregnancy. They will then call for a female tsa agent and they'll come get you and do a thorough pat down. It can be uncomfortable or awkward, but it's your choice and they have to accommodate you. I wasn't sure how I felt about the scanners so I've been getting pat downs. Go with what you're comfortable with!

I've flown and since I didn't want to go through the scanner, I just told them as soon as I entered the security line that I wasn't doing it. They never asked me for the reason. I got to sit down in a chair and a female TSA person asked me if I wanted to go off somewhere more private and I said no (as I didn't care) so she patted me down right there. I was done before the rest of my group who waited in the regular line.

I tell the person at security. They are fine with it and will pat you down.

You can go through the machine. It's a very low amount of xray and it won't affect your baby at all. But if you really don't want one you just tell the TSA agent that directs you toward the scanner.
