Anyone have an good or bad review on th medication Cipro?

Just got prescribed Cipro for a uti and I've read some horrifying reviews. I took one dose so far and I'm horrified to take anymore after reading these reviews.

I'm a nurse and I administer cipro almost every day to my patients with infections and they never ever have problems. I've only seen people get better honestly. Unless they're far worse off and get sick from something else. For a UTI I wouldn't worry. If you are that scared I would speak to your doctor. With antibiotics though, they work super fast and you would be having side effects within 24-48 hrs if anything. Good luck!

I have been on it more times than I can count... have never had anything bad happen. If you're pregnant perhaps confirm it's an alright prescription if you're worried!

I'm allergic to it :D took my first few doses and I was fine. About 2 days after starting it I went to bed and woke up covered in tiny red dots and my skin was super hot. Went to the ER because it's obviously not normal. ER doc was a dick and said he couldn't help me and sent me home. I continued taking it for another 2 days until my doctor could see me. She took one look at me and said "you're allergic to it, stop taking it. The ER doctor should have told you that!" Stopped taking it, no issues. They switched me to a different antibiotic and I was fine.
