It's getting frustrating waiting on getting pregnant. I got off depo provera 2 years ago. My dr mentioned IUI. Basically just inserting his sperm where it needs to be. Has anyone here done this?

I've done one IUI and am about to prep for my second. The process itself is very easy. The male needs to give a sample and the clinic does a wash of the sperm, and a couple hours later you go back in and have a catheter inserted and then you're done. It's about like getting a pap done, quick and pretty much painless. You can also check with your clinic and your insurance to find out about cost. My cycle with meds and everything was about $420 for me out of pocket. Feel free to ask any questions! 🙂

I currently just did my first one. I was on the injections for a few days with bloodwork and ultrasounds until they told me to take the trigger shot. Then I went in the next morning for insemination and went again the next morning for insemination again. Like a pp said, it is a very quick procedure and it doesn't really hurt just slight cramping when they insert the catheter!
