4cm dilated and 70% effaced question?

Hey!
I went to the doctor yesterday and she said I was dilated 4cm,  70% effaced, and that I already lost my plug. I'm 36 weeks today! My doctor told me to "go home and pack your bags! It could be any day now!" Our original due date is 11/15th. 
I was wondering if anyone had any similar stories and if so, how soon after did you go into labor? I haven't had any contractions just feeling a lot of pressure on my pelvic bone when I stand up.

I've been 4CM and 90% effaced for weeks. With strong contractions. So it really doesn't mean anything.

At 38 weeks I was 3 cm and 80% effaced lost my mucus plug that night after appointment didn't go into labor until almost 2 weeks later at 39

Honestly...dilation means nothing. I was 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced  at 34 weeks,  3cm and fully effaced by 36 weeks. My obgyn was so sure I'd go into early labor..and now here is am almost 39 weeks and still no sign of baby. Being dilated n effaced does not mean early labor although some women may or may not. Just keep ur things ready just in case and relax. Good luck..
