How long is a typical hospital stay for c section patients in the United states? Provided there isn't any complications. Let's say everything goes smoothly. I had a c section 6 years ago and I was in there for 5 days but had complications and needed a blood transfusion.

I think it's 3 days but my insurance covered up to 4, I stayed the extra day because my baby had to stay 4 in the NICU

The standard is 3 days, you can sometimes request an early discharge at 2 days if your dr and pediatrician approve it.

I know you asked about the states only and I no longer live in the states but over here in Europe you're looking at a 5-7 day hospital stay after you've had a c section. It's standard
