My expartner and I just broke up, not on friendly terms (caught him talking and making plans to meet up with other women). We have a daughter and expecting a son in Feb 2017. He has never been the most supporting partner and he barely qualifies as a father (not very involved even when we were together). We haven't discussed things besides the breakup and him moving out tomorrow but I need to plan long term, now more than ever. The labor crossed my mind today and i have come to the realization that i dont want him there for the birth of our son. Not that i wont let him meet our son but i simply dont feel its appropriate and i doubt it will make me feel any more comfortable. Is it selfish of me to make him wait until after to come to the hospital (thats assuming he will even want to be there)? We had talked about separating before and i know i would feel differently if things had ended on a better note. Would you ladies allow your ex in delivery room?
