am I being crazy?

So December will be a year me and my boyfriend started talking. It's been 4 months since I told him I love him. I know he cares about me and my girls and he tells me he isn't going anywhere. That he does want to move in together eventually. But he still says he doesn't know if he could ever tell me he loves me. He has had a crappy past and I for sure don't want to lose him. I have never been this happy. Am I being silly about needing to hear it when he shows me all the time how he feels?
