delivery with fibroid?

I have a 10 cm fibroid tumor and am currently 38 weeks + 3 days. The doctors are all still insisting I should plan to deliver naturally. But I am getting nervous. I am so nervous she will get stuck or something... has anyone delivered vaginally with a fibroid?

It's all about where it's located. I also had a 10cm fibroid but it was located low on the uterus, blocking the cervix. This was seen early on, we watched it to see if it moved but around 30 weeks my OB refered me to a high risk specialist who said no way I could even try vaginal birth. Due to placement of fibroid we had baby by cesarean at 37w4d. She was 6.9lbs and absolutely perfect. They were also able to remove the fibroid!! (Something we never thought we would happen and were so happy about!!) As long as your Dr knows it's there, knows the placement of it and it's not hindering the baby's exit, you'll be fine!! It depends on where your fibroid is located.  They wouldn't have you do it if it wasn't safe. Fibroids grow during pregnancy from all the hormones. Don't be afraid. You got this.

Crap that's huge! I have a 5cm one and i thought that was big... I'll be delivering vaginally. Hope it doesn't make things more painful. I'm screwed if i wind up needing a c section since its right where they would cut... 😬
